Getting it!

Today I “got it.” I’m pretty sure. Could it really be that simple?

To know yourself at your very core, without all the baggage and emotions and thinking. The you-ness that is simply there in the midst of all that.

Whoa!! This is the simplest thing EVER. Why is it so difficult for people to get?

So, I’m thinking that you’re supposed to focus on this “I AM” until you really connect with it. I mean, I know it’s there right now as I’m typing this entry, but the connection could be stronger. And the more strongly one connects with the “I AM” within themselves, the more they feel at one, at peace, etc.

It really is that simple isn’t it. Unfortunately for me, its also that simple to forget. Today I will make a better effort to connect with this “I AM”. So glad I read this first thing in the morning. Thank you.

    Wow, that’s deep.

Accepting ourselves for who we really are, even with all the bumps and bruises – as well as the sparkle and sunshine – can be a really, really difficult thing.

I’m glad you got it! You’ve helped me remember that I “have it,” too.
    Thank you!

No bumps or bruises nor sparkle and sunshine exist at the core of one’s being. What I’m focusing on is constant and unchangeable. It is simple awareness.

However, it did make me realize why it is so important for people to work on their bumps and bruises! (And why not to put so much value on the sparkle and sunshine.) Not just to feel better, but to get all of that baggage out of the way! You can never know your true self, your “I AM,” with all that baggage covering it up. :)

Good stuff! I can sense that “I AM” too, but the identification with what I’ve been thinking I am for all these years is apparently a very sticky indentification. Recognizing that “awareness” was easy, but identifying myself with that only is turning out to be a horse of a different color.

It’s great to see you going through this, too. Yet another struggling piece of the supposed whole. How funny!

What You Are right now, typing this, is absolutely perfect. No need to try to grasp anything more.

But, who is this I who is getting it?
Who is this person you take yourself to be?
    Where is she?
    who is this I AM?
    are you?
    really?

Is this I AM really an entity that should be focused upon, connected with? Is it possible that this I AM is exactly what you are, right here, right now, nothing more, nothing less ALREADY?

It is difficult to get to grips with the fact that nothing need be done to become exactly what YOU ARE already, yet, you are right, it is that simple…..

look forward to reading the rest of your blog btw……

@Mike: Yeah, I’m not completely sure if I’m identifying myself with this awareness correctly either. But past experience has taught me to believe, focus and keep trying so I have a lot of faith in this, even if it takes years. We’ll see what eventually results from that. :)

@Lune: Who is this I who is getting it? Do I have to answer that? lol
I totally believe that this I AM is exactly what I am, right here, right now. Or I want to anyway. :) It seems simple, until something jolts me out of it makes me forget.
